New drilling planned for STACK and Southern Oklahoma

Oklahoma adds 3 rigs as US rig count increases to 981 - JWN Energy

 

Chaparral Energy, XTO Energy and Continental Resources are among the energy firms with intentions to carry out more drilling in Oklahoma.

Chaparral Energy received drilling permits for a 3-well pad site in Canadian County. The Blackburn 1207 wells will be located about 2 miles south of El Reno next to highway US 81. The legal site is 28 12N 7W.

XTO Energy received permits for a 4-well pad site at 11 4S 2E in Carter County. The  NAYLOR wells will be located at the northeast edge of the city of Ardmore.

Continental Resources received one permit for the KATZ #1-32-29XHW to be drilled at 32 1S 3W in Carter County. The site is approximately 2 miles southwest of Ratliff City.
