Crude oil prices had more bumps this week than a washboard road in western Oklahoma. Prices on Thursday lost most of the gains they made on Wednesday, falling below the $60 mark.
Western Texas Intermediate crude for May deliver dropped $2.26 to $58.56 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for May deliver fell $2.46 to $61.95 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
April natural gas rose 5 cents to $2.57 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks endured losses too while LSB Industries Inc. had the biggest gain of the day at 4.68% as its shares rose 19 cents to reach $4.25.
Cypress Environmental Partners suffered the biggest loss of the day at nearly 11%. Its shares lost 10.74% on a 29 cent fall to $2.41.
