Wyoming governor launches COVID aid package for oil and gas operators

Under an economic stimulus program announced this week by Gov. Mark Gordon, Wyoming oil and gas operators will be eligible for COVID-19 pandemic relief totaling $15 million.

Individual operators could get up to $500,00 aid which will be funded from federal CARES Act money.

The Casper Star-Tribune reported the governor’s intent is to pump resources into well cleanup and finishing uncompleted oil and gas wells.
