After oil futures finished flat in Wednesday’s trading, most Oklahoma energy companies experienced declines. Only a few saw slight increases at day’s end.
SandRidge Energy dropped 3 cents or 1.60% to $1.84. Devon Energy suffered a 2.21% or 25 cent drop to end the day at $11.09 a share.
Continental Resources ended the day down 0.11$ or 4 cents and settled at $18.11. Chesapeake Energy dropped 3.03% or 20 cents to $6.40 a share. Williams Cos. slipped 15 cents a share or 0.69% to $21.65.
OGE Energy Corp finished down 37 cents or 1.14% to $32.08. WPX Energy Inc. was down just about 1% or 6 cents a share and ended the day at $6.08.
A 7 cent or 1.71% gain was recorded by NGL Energy Partners which finished the day at $4.16 a share. A gain was also recorded by Cypress Environmental Partners which ended Wednesday’s trading at $2.60 a share for a 10 cent or 4% increase.
Ovintiv Inc. fell 22 cents or 1.83% to finish at $11.80. Alliance Resources, the Tulsa company with major coal-mining operations as well as some oil and gas ventures saw a drop of 5 cents or 1.44% to finish the day at $3.42 per share.
Laredo Petroleum ended Wednesday’s trading down 78 cents or 4.59% to $16.22. Mammoth Energy Services finished the day up 3 cents or 1.89% to $1.62 per share. Helmerich and Payne settled up 27 cents or 1.50% at $18.25.

ExxonMobil (XOM) down 0.47 at 41.96 – change 1.11%
Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.26 at 14.12 – change 1.81%
Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) down 0.22 at 5.73 – change 3.70%
National Oilwell Varco (NOV) down 0.08 at 12.49 – change 0.64%
Noble Energy (NBL) down 0.11 at 10.19 – change 1.07%
