Newfield hopes for more STACK success with more drilling

Houston’s Newfield Exploration Co. is expanding its STACK operations with up to 9 more wells planned in Kingfisher County.

The company received permits to drill from Oklahoma regulators including three separate multi-well single pad sites in the county.

Three Dan Fiu #1608 wells will be drilled at 29 16N 8W or about 8 miles west of the city of Kingfisher and south of state highway 33.

Newfield will drill two Yost #1608 wells on a single pad at 19 16N 8W or adjacent to the first three wells at 29 16N 8W. Three more Yost #1608 wells on a single pad site will be drilled at 07 16N 8W which is west of Kingfisher and north of state highway 33.

Newfield has had huge success in drilling in the immediate region with one five-well pad producing more than 4,000 barrels of oil daily.

Marathon Oil Company received permits for five wells in Grady County, four from a single pad at 07 6N 5W which is southeast of Chickasha.

Trinity Operating USG LLC obtained permits for two wells in Hughes County at 05 7N 12E which is southeast of Wetumka.
