The Oklahoma Senate minority leader Kay Floyd’s announced committee assignments for the coming session of the legislature where issues directly affecting Oklahoma’s energy industry will be handled.
The two Democrats named to the Senate Energy Committee are Senator Kevin Matthews and newly-elected Senator Mary Boren.
Senator Floyd called the addition of Senator Boren, an attorney from Norman and Oklahoma City school teacher Carri Hicks to the Senate will be particularly beneficial to the Senate.
Boren was also named to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
