Corterra Energy proud of its Top Workplace honor

Tulsa’s Corterra Energy is letting the country know that it’s been honored by The Oklahoman as a 2018 Top Workplace.

The paper recently published its list which is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner, Energage.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Corterra Energy is an exploration and production company based in Tulsa, Okla., focused on the acquisition and development of oil and gas resources in the Mid-Continent region. The company was founded by entrepreneurial veterans of the oil and gas industry and strives to honor the history of oil and gas exploration, built through sweat equity and resilience.

“Our team is what makes Corterra a special place to work. I appreciate all of our team members and their dedication to the company. To be recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Oklahoma is a great honor,” said Corterra Energy CEO, Valerie A. Mitchell.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”

Corterra Energy is only a two-year old firm founded in 2016.
