Williams Hands Out Contract to Louisiana Firm

The amount of the contract wasn’t disclosed, but Louisiana based Danos, a company founded on tugboat and energy operations has won a major Williams Partners contract to do piping and valve modifications at a North Carolina operation.

Danos is a company with 1,800 employees and will carry out the work at the Pine Needle LNG storage facility operated by Williams in Stokesdale, North Carolina.

The job will entail the construction of a 110-foot dispersion stack, installation of automated blowdown valves, and work related to electrical, instrumentation and control systems. Work is expected to take about four months.

Danos has worked with Williams for the past 16 years and did similar work at the Williams Discovery plant in Larose, Louisiana. Headquartered in Gray, Louisiana, Danos has eleven offices in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Africa.
