Hollye Hunt was recently named as vice president of legislative affairs for the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, according to the association’s website.
Hunt will lead legislative outreach efforts on behalf of OIPA members and supporting service companies.
“The OIPA has a distinguished record of legislative accomplishment, and I am confident Hollye’s own proven history will help her be successful in carrying on our proud legacy,” said Jeff McDougall, OIPA Chairman and president of JMA Energy Company. “Her wealth of experience will help the OIPA better serve Oklahoma’s independent oil and natural gas industry.”
Hunt recently served as the vice chancellor for governmental relations for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, where she directed all legislative matters at the state and federal level. She is a former staff member of U.S. Rep. Tom Cole and then-Lt. Gov. Mary Fallin. Hunt is a graduate of the University of Texas and Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Hunt is the daughter of Oklahoma State Rep. Earl Sears, R-Bartlesville.
