What’s holding back crude oil production in North Dakota?

Simple answer according to oil and gas industry leaders who gathered recently for the North Dakota Petroleum Council annual meeting in Watford City.

“A shortage of trained workers,” sited the leaders.

State Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms estimates the state has seven to 10 drilling rigs “that are sitting in the yard that do not have crews,” reported the Bismarck Tribune.
