What had been planned to be Nebraska’s largest wind farm has been nixed by the military.
Why? Because the proposed wind farm would be too close to underground missile silos. After farmers in Banner County, Nebraska had counted on the wind turbines for added income, the Air Force stepped in and vetoed the wind farm according to the Flatwater Free Press.
