Ovintiv’s continued success in Kingfisher County

Ovintiv Stock: Well-Positioned for Its Upcoming Earnings Report

 

Kingfisher County remains a gold mine for Ovintiv Inc. The company filed completion reports in recent days showing two wells on a single pad, each with production of more than 1,300 barrels of oil a day. That’s a combined 2,600 barrels of oil from the same pad.

Unless of course, Ovintiv files another completion report in the coming days showing perhaps more than two wells on the pad located at 29 15N 7W, a site about one mile north of the city of Okarche and adjacent to Highway 81.

Ovintiv has a habit of filing multi-well producers on separate days.

The Laura 1507 2h-17x was completed in February 2022 and its  completion report showed production of 1,323 barrels of oil a day along with 1,724 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,115 feet in the Mississippian.

The well had a spud date in June of 2021 according to the completion report.

The Laura 1507 3h-17x was also completed in February with production of 1,301 barrels of oil and 1,515 Mcf of natural gas a day. Drilled depth was 19,460 feet in the Mississippian. The completion report showed a June 2021 spud date.

 

Mewbourne Oil Company filed a report on the completion of an Ellis County well with production of 534 barrels of oil a day and 1,143 Mcf of natural gas. Located six miles west of Arnett, 16 19N 25W, the Pike 16/21 Dm 1h was 16 19N 25W in April at a depth of 19,385 feet in the Cherokee formation following a January 2022 spud date.

Citizen Energy III LLC was busy in Canadian and Grady counties showing completions on 5 wells.

Two wells on a single pad in Canadian County, 7 10N 5W, two miles southwest of the city of Mustang had combined production of 238 barrels of oil a day.

The Darrow Trust 4h-7-18, completed in April at a depth of 16,792 feet in the Woodford formation produced 125 barrels of oil and 214 Mcf of natural gas a day. The completion report showed a January 2022 spud date.

The Darrow Trust 2h-7-6, drilled at a depth of 17,512 feet in the Woodford was completed in April and produced 113 barrels of oil a day and 280 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed a December 2021 spud date.

Citizen Energy also had a third Canadian County well, the Demmer 2h-2-11, located at 2 10N 7W, a mile southeast of Union City. It produced156 barrels of oil and 1,460 Mcf of natural gas daily from a drilled depth of 16,770 feet in the Mississippi Lime formation. The completion report showed a March 2021 spud date with completion made in August 2021.
