Cushing stocks slowly increase

Crude supplies soar at Cushing oil hub – Oklahoma Energy Today

 

Crude oil stocks are making a slow gain at the Cushing oil hub in northern Oklahoma.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported this week there were 25.2 million barrels of crude oil in storage at Cushing as of August 5 of this year.

On July 29, the amount in storage was 24.5 million barrels so the gain was about 700,000 barrels of oil in a week.

On August 6, 2021, Cushing held 34.6 million barrels. The decline since then amounted to 27.1%.

In early August of 2020, the amount of crude in storage at Cushing was 53.3 million barrels. The decrease since then amounted to nearly 53%.
