500 mile line to carry New Mexico wind power to Western states

 

A 500-mile transmission line is planned to carry electricity from New Mexico wind farms to urban markets in Arizona and California.

The SunZia Transmission project was acquired by Pattern Energy and will combine with the company’s existing plans to develop wind power in the region reported the Carlsbad Current-Argus.
