Arkansas trucking firm reveals greenhouse gas emissions

For the first time, ArcBest Corp., a trucking firm headquartered in Fort Smith, Arkansas has disclosed its greenhouse gas emissions.

The nearly 100-year old trucking company revealed the information in its third environmental, social and corporate governance report released Wednesday reported Freight Waves.

It plans to set goals for emissions reductions and undertake other environmental initiatives including the use of electric forklifts, installation of solar panels at some buildings and update older vehicles.
