New Mexico utility fears power outages over solar crisis

 

The government-induced crisis that hit the U.S. solar industry has left a major New Mexico public utility wondering whether there might be power outages next year in the state as a result.

The Albuquerque Journal reports Public Service Company of New Mexico, another subsidiary of American Electric Power is worried because supplies have been interrupted as the company builds a major solar operation to replace the coal-fired San Juan Generating Station.
