Crude prices went up over possible new sanctions against Russia

  As European countries considered more sanctions on Russia’s energy sector after the discovery of murdered civilians, oil prices jumped more than 3% on Monday because investors grew more concerned about tighter crude supplies. Lack of new interstate gas pipelines will lead to higher natural gas costs

  A federal government study says if no interstate natural gas pipelines are built between 2024 and 2050, the U.S. can expect to see less natural gas production and consumption and 11% higher natural gas costs.
