** The American Petroleum Institute (API) Monday submitted comments on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA)’s proposed methane regulations, emphasizing support for the direct regulation of methane for new and existing sources and highlighting the industry’s progress in reducing methane emissions intensity from operations.

** JPMorgan Chase & Co. is selling Bighorn Permian Resources LLC, an oil and gas producer it took over in 2020 after the company failed to attract bidders during its bankruptcy, to Earthstone Energy Inc. for $860 million.
