Unit reports successful Custer County well

Unit Corporation comes out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy – Oklahoma Energy Today

 

Among recent completions was a western Oklahoma well with more than 1,300 barrels of oil a day in production and in a region where typically the wells have been strong natural gas producers.

Unit Petroleum Company of Tulsa reported completion of the Wingard 16 #1h well at 21 14N 14W in Custer County. The well, located about 4 miles southeast of the town of Thomas had production of 1,349 barrels of oil a day and 2,274 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 15,800 feet when it was completed in late September 2021. The well had a July spud date and the completion was made in the Red Fork formation.

A Dewey County well, the Silver Charm 1816 1-13h, drilled by Blake Production Company Inc. of Oklahoma City had production of 107 barrels of oil a day. Located at 24 18N 16W, a site six miles east of Taloga, the well had a depth of 13,695 feet and a spud date in late July 2021.

Gulfport Midcon LLC completed the Frick 3-23x14h in Grady County, a well with production of 638 barrels of oil a day and 8,787 Mcf of natural gas. Located at 26 4N 6W , a site about 10 miles east of Rush Springs, the well was completed in June 2021 at a depth of 22,477 feet following a spud date in March 2020.

Hinkle Oil & Gas Inc. of Oklahoma City reported completions of two adjacent Kingfisher County wells with combined production of about 1,300 barrels of oil a day. The Lincoln Southeast Oswego Unit 89-3ho, located at 29 17N 5W, a site about 9 miles northeast of the city of Kingfisher had production of 450 barrels of oil a day and 431 Mcf of natural gas following a November 2021 completion. The drilling depth was 11,280 feet following an October 2021 spud date.

The second well, the Lincoln Southeast Oswego Unit 93-7ho, produced 842 barrels of oil a day and 616 Mcf of natural gas from an adjacent site at 30 17N 5W.

Both wells are immediately south of the Cimarron River. The second well had a September spud date with completion made in October 2021.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Canadian County will get more new drilling after permits to drill were issued to two firms.

Chaparral Energy LLC received a permit to recomplete the ZALOUDIK #3, north of Yukon.

Paloma Operating Co. Inc of Houston obtained a permit for the
ROSEANNADANNA 27_22-12N-6W #1MHX, located at 28 12N 6W, just west of the C-E Page Cimarron Airport.

A Permit went to Raydon Exploration Inc. of Oklahoma City to drill the MIILLER #1-19, at 19 23N 5W in Garfield County. The site is six miles northeast of Enid.

Bluewater Resources LLC of Tulsa obtained a permit for the CURTIS #1-17 at 17 11N 17E in McIntosh County. The well will be located about 2 miles south of Checotah.
