New Mexico’s oil and gas regulators have gone to their state legislature with hands out for more funding to be used in the fight against pollution.

The state’s cabinet secretary at the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department went before a Senate committee this week asking for a more than 16% increase in funding reported the Carlsbad Current-Argus.
