Grady County wells successful for Gulfport Energy

Oklahoma City-based Gulfport Midcon LLC reports completion on two Grady County wells in 2021 with combined production of more than 1,400 barrels of oil a day from a single pad. The two wells, with origination dating back to 2019 and 2020 were also large gas wells.

The Frick 1-23x14h and the Frick 2-23x14h, located at 26 4N 6W east of Rush Springs were completed in June 2021. The reports were just released by state regulators.

The first Frick well produced 673 barrels of oil a day and 15,861 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 24,240 feet upon completion. It had a December 2019 spud date and drilling actually finished in February 2020 but production never started until 2021.

The second Frick well produced 771 barrels of oil a day and 12,987 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 23,149 feet upon completion.

Its spud date was in February 2020 and the first production didn’t happen until June 12, 2021.
