Crude oil prices closed down on last day of 2021 trading

Oil prices slip amid multiple headwinds - Daily News Egypt

 

Crude oil prices finished 2021 with a drop but for the year, prices still posted their biggest annual gains since 2016. Oklahoma energy stocks finished with a stronger day in trading.

Benchmark U.S. crude oil for February delivery fell $1.78 to $75.21 a barrel Friday. Brent crude for March delivery fell $1.75 to $77.78 per barrel.

West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery fell $1.78 or 2.31% to $75.21 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude futures settled down $1.75, or 2.2%, at $77.78 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

 February natural gas rose 17 cents to $3.73 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Most Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains on the last day of trading in 2021 including Cypress Environmental Partners with a nearly 8% increase in its price. Matrix Services gained nearly 7%.
