$4 billion secret factory in Kansas? It’s a mystery

 

The state of Kansas might be in line for a $4 billion mega project, one possibly involving EVs, batteries or microchips but also one that remains a highly-held secret in one state agency.

The Wichita Eagle reports the Kansas Commerce Department only said Kansas is a finalist for a project that could produce 4,000 jobs paying about $50,000 a year. But the department is hoping the state legislature will fast-track the state’s largest business incentive program ever.
