Crude oil prices made another rebound on Monday as they went up more than 3% in Europe and 2% in the U.S.
Oklahoma energy stocks also had a strong showing on Monday.
Worries about the spread of omicron COVID-19 continue to ease as analysts and investors learn the variant might be milder than previous variants.
West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery rose 2.4% to $75.83 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude went up $2.46 or 3.23% to finish the day at $78.60 on ICE Futures Europe.
Monday’s trading of Oklahoma energy stocks resulted in some strong gains including nearly 10% for LSB Industries, 8% for Laredo Petroleum and 6% for Devon Energy.
