A new study of the oil and gas drilling activity in the Permian Basin shows smaller and independent producers are leading the growth in the region in the past few years.
The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis reported in a recent study that independent oil and gas producers were leading the Permian in production even as larger companies seek to grow operations in the region.
