OKC federal judge criticizes US Supreme Court ‘McGirt’ ruling

The final say of the U.S. Supreme Court might be considered the “law of the land” but Oklahoma City federal Judge Stephen Friot thinks the high court’s McGirt ruling that returned control of Indian tribal land to several tribes also created “havoc.”

As The Oklahoman reported, Judge Friot “excoriated” the Supreme Court decision as it applies to Oklahoma’s fight with the EPA regarding who has control of mining regulations in the state.
