Gradual increase in new wells in Oklahoma

They aren’t the biggest producers but Oklahoma is seeing more wells completed in recent weeks and months and more drilling has been approved by state regulators. Newly completed wells have been reported in Blaine, Caddo, Garvin, Grady, Canadian and other counties.

Here’s a list of some of the latest completed wells.

Continental Resources brought in the Edgemere Farms 3-25-36xhm at 24 15N 13W, a site southwest of Watonga in Blaine County. The well, drilled at a depth of 22,770 feet had production of 484 barrels of oil a day and 14,964 Mcf of natural gas. The well had a May 2021 spud date with completion in August.

Donray Petroleum LLC just reported its 2020 completion of the Apache Gas Unit 1 at 19 5N 11W in Caddo County. Drilled at a depth of 24,715 feet, the well produced 219 barrels of oil a day at 1,147 Mcf of natural gas at the site about 2 miles west of the town of Apache. Completion was

A Canadian County well, the Glorietta 7-12n-8w 6mh was completed in September 2021 by Travis Peak Resources LLC. Drilled at 7 12N 8W, a site about 5 miles south of Calumet, the well produced 407 barrels of oil a day and 6,023 Mcf of natural gas. Drilling depth was reported to be 16,931 and the spud date was in April 2021.

Continental Resources also completed a Carter County well, the Columbus 1-36-25xhw with production of 142 barrels of oil a day and 233 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled at 31 1S 2W, a site about 3 miles southeast of Ratliff City, the well was reported to be completed April 12, 2021.

One of the larger wells to be completed in recent weeks was in Garvin County where Camino Natural Resources LLC drilled The Kid 0103 29-20-1mxh at 29 1N 3W, a site northwest of Ratliff City. The well had an April 2021 spud date with completion on October 19, 2021.

Citizen Energy III LLC reported completion of the Keeler 1h-9 and Keeler 2h-9, drilled on a single pad at 4 6N 4W in McClain County at a site southeast of the town of Dibble. Keeler 1h-9 was completed July 23 at a drilling depth of 16,225 feet with production of 282 barrels of oil a day and 80 Mcf of natural gas.

The second Keeler well was completed the same date with production of 255 barrels of oil a day and 89 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 16,402 feet.

 

Marathon Oil just filed a completion report on a Grady County well completed in 2020. Drilled at 33 7N 5W the Ethel Mae 0605 1-4-9mxh had production of 216 barrels of oil a day and 432 Mcf of natural gas.

A handful of smaller producing wells, some with production of 31, 67 and 42 barrels of oil a day were completed in Kay, Lincoln and Oklahoma Counties.

There was an uptick in drilling permits approved last week including six more in Canadian County, one in Johnston County, one in Major County and one in Blaine County.
