Environmentalists and protesters are already gearing up to fight efforts by a Texas energy firm to carry out oil exploration in Florida’s Big Cypress National Preserve.
The Fort Myers News-Press reports the state of Florida is also encouraging Burnett Oil to withdraw its plans until more information is provided on how seismic testing and oil drilling will be remediated.
