$2 billion carbon pipeline gets more support in Iowa

Texas-based Navigator CO2 Ventures wants to a build pipeline through Iowa that will be used to move carbon dioxide captured from ethanol, fertilizer and other agricultural industrial plants. Navigator proposes using pressure to liquify the carbon dioxide, transport it and then inject it deep underground where it will be permanently sequestered in Illinois.

 

Support is reportedly growing for a proposed $2 billion carbon sequestration pipeline and storage project in Southeast Iowa, one involving Texas-based Navigator CO2 Ventures.
