North Dakota lawmakers gathering this week might consider a proposal to use $150 million in federal stimulus money to build another natural gas pipeline in the state and one Oklahoma company expressed an interest.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that ONEOK indicated it is always “looking for and evaluating opportunities to provide new and expanding markets for growing Williston (Basin) production while enhancing the economic development opportunities of North Dakota.”

The paper reported lawmakers plan to divide up $1 billion from the federal American Rescue Plan Act and set aside money for a possible pipeline to deliver Bakken gas to eastern North Dakota.
