A long-deserted ammunition plant near Kansas City might be turned into a solar farm.
The Shawnee Mission Post reports that Savion, LLC, a privately-held Kansas City-based solar company is looking into the idea of converting the old Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto into a large-scale solar operation.
