Devon offers $1.9 billion in notes exchange

Devon Energy came out with a $1.9 billion offering in an exchange of notes this week.

The company announced the offering but in its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission did not include a date for a deadline.

The offering was for $224,079,000 of 8.250% notes due 2023; $224,079,000 of 8.250% notes also due 2023; $465,268,000 of 5.250% notes due 2024; $377,557,000 of 5.250% notes due 2027; $322,488,000 of 5.875% notes due 2028; and two sets of $573,827,000 of 4.500% notes due 2030.

Devon’s offer is to exchange all outstanding unregistered restricted notes for an equal principal amount of the company’s 8.250% notes due 2023; 5.250% notes 2024; 5.250% notes due 2027; 5.875% notes due 2028 and 4.500% notes due 2030.
