While the world’s leaders talked global climate change in Glasbow, Scotland, crude oil prices dropped in the US and barely managed to hold even in Europe. Oklahoma energy stocks struggled during the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude for December delivery dropped 14 cents or 0.17% to $83.91 a barrel. Global benchmark Brent crude for January delivery went up 1 cent to $84.72 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
Natural gas up 0.36 at $5.54 – change 6.86%
But December natural gas rose 35 cents or 6.86% to $5.54 per 1,000 cubic feet, as many Oklahomans might have touched the thermostat to warm up the house on a cold November day.
Turned out to be a day of losses for most Oklahoma energy stocks with the exception of Mammoth Energy Services. It soared more than 11% for the day.
