Cole keeps up attacks on Democrats’ Build Back Better plan

How 9/11 motivated Rep. Tom Cole to run for Congress - Los Angeles Times

While Democrats in Congress plan a vote next week on President Biden’s $1.75 trillion ‘Build Back Better” plan, they’re being heavily criticized by Congressman Tom Cole during his return to Oklahoma.

The Republican Representative labeled the plan “Biden’s Build Back Socialist” plan and urged Oklahomans not to be fooled into thinking a lower price tag will result in a good bill.

“Regardless of the initial price tag, any such package that seeks to enact the president’s damaging policies would alter American society as we know it – and not for the better,” said the congressman in a weekly communication from his office.

The 4th District Representative wrote that he was alarmed by the harmful policies likely to be contained within any final package “cooked up and passed solely by Democrats in Congress.”

Among them are increased energy dependence on OPEC, Russia and China and granting amnesty to nearly eight million illegal immigrants.

“If passed, the legislation, in any future form, would turn America into a big government socialist nation overnight,” charged Rep. Cole.
The congressman spent time on the House Floor last week attacking the plan.
