University of Arkansas gets $17.9 million grant for EV studies

The potential of Silicon carbide (SiC) for automotive applications

 

A nearly $18 million federal grant has been awarded the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville to fabricate silicon carbide components used in electric vehicles.

The National Science Foundation grant establishes UA as the site of a first-of-its-kind facility for the U.S. in that it will be accessible to many researchers reported the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
