Texas company linked to California oil spill had record of violations

Records show the Texas company that operates the oil pipeline that ruptured over the weekend off the coast of California causing the state’s worst oil pollution event in decades had a long list of safety and environmental violations.

 

Beta Operating Co., a subsidiary of Houston-based Amplify Energy  was cited 125 times since 1980 according to the Associated Press.
