Crypto Mining Firm Core Scientific to Go Public Via SPAC Merger

The North Texas city of Denton has been picked to be the site of a 300 megawatt blockchain data center by Core Scientific Holding Co. of Bellevue, Washington.

Core Scientific is a blockchain infrastructure and digital asset mining firm and an affiliate of Tenaska Energy Inc., the same company with a power plant operation in Southeast Oklahoma.

The construction of the Denton operation will use emissions-free power helped by renewable energy credits reported the Fort Worth Business Press.
