Oklahoma energy stocks rebounded Monday while oil prices rose

Hurricane Ida’s impact on U.S. crude oil production resulted in prices reaching a six-week high in Monday’s trading. Prices might have also been affected by the arrival of yet another storm hitting the coast of Texas on Monday.

 West Texas Intermediate crude for October rose 73 cents or 1.1% before finishing the day at $70.45.
Global benchmark Brent Crude went up 59 cents or 0.8% to reach $73.51 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
It was the highest close for WTI since Aug. 3 and the highest close for Brent crude since July 30.
It also proved to be a good day for most Oklahoma energy stocks including SandRidge Energy going up more than 9% and Cypress Environmental nearly 8% while Mammoth Energy plunged more than 12%.
