Crude oil prices managed to hold their own in Friday’s trading with increases of less than $1 a barrel in both the U.S. and in Europe but still reaching nearly $74 in the states and $78 overseas. Plus, Oklahoma energy stocks joined in the positive trading day.
West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery rose 68 cents to close at $73.98 a barrel.
Global benchmark Brent crude of November delivery went up 84 cents and finished the day at $78.09 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
Oklahoma energy stocks had another strong showing in Friday’s trading with Mammoth Energy recording a nearly 8% gain for the day.
