North Dakota pipeline ruling raises pipeline trespassing issue

The Richmond Observer - Unusual Appeals Court ruling could bring Supreme Court into election battle

Nearly one-third of the Bakken’s crude oil in North Dakota could be at risk following a federal appeals court ruling that reversed a class action lawsuit filed by landowners over claims of trespass by Andeavor’s Tesoro High Plains pipeline system.

It could very well have an application to Oklahoma energy companies that have deep operations in the state. The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals made the ruling this week reported the Williston Herald.
