New Mexico to get tougher on low-emitting wells

Environmental regulators in New Mexico plan a tougher review of even the lowest pollution-emitting oil and gas wells.

The New Mexico Environment Department stated this week it intends to return to a restrictive air pollution rule that calls for the fossil fuel industry to inspect the lowest-emitting wells yearly reported the Santa Fe New Mexican.
