More drilling in Carter and Kingfisher Counties

Increased drilling interest across the state – Oklahoma Energy Today

We’ve been following the expanded drilling in Southern Oklahoma’s Carter County and found yet another permit to drill was issued by regulators for the area.

Stephens & Johnson Operating CO. of Kamay, Texas received the permit for the TUSSY DEESE UNIT #SKM 15 located about 4 miles north of Ratliff City. The county site is 05 1S 3W.

The drilling company has two other permits to drill on a single pad about 2 miles north. But the TUSSY DEESE UNIT #PN 5 and the  TUSSY DEESE UNIT #SDB 7 are located at 32 1N 3W in Garvin County.

Ovintiv USA Inc. is back at it in Kingfisher County, one of the three major counties that make up the STACK play. The company has permits for three wells on a single pad at 18 17N 9W, a site about 4 miles southwest of the town of Loyal.

Ovintiv has had phenomenal success immediately south of the city of Kingfisher and at sites near Okarche, but this time is venturing into the northern part of Kingfisher County where it intends to drill the ROSIA 1709 #2H-18X, the ROSIA 1709 #3H-18X and the ROSIA 1709 #4H-18X.
