Regulators in Missouri ordered natural gas pipeline operator Spire Missouri to get ready as to the fate of its FERC approved line.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the 65-mile interstate pipeline in 2018 but the approval was stalled in court by a legal challenge filed by the Environmental Defense Fund.

The Missouri Times reports the state’s Public Service Commission ordered the firm to file contingency plans.
