Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor and others representing 12 other states that sue the President Biden administration for taking steps to consider the “social cost of carbon” in federal regulations don’t have standing ruled a federal judge.

The lawsuit, filed last spring opposed President Biden’s executive order that directed federal agencies to calculate an interim and financial social cost of carbon, nitrous oxide and methane.

U.S. District Judge Audrey Flessig said in the dismissal that plaintiffs’ complaint was too speculative reported the Missouri Independent.
