Southern Oklahoma’s Carter County is a hot spot for more oil and gas drilling activity as four more permits were issued this week for the region.
Tripledee Operating Company LLC based in Ardmore received two permits to recomplete for the CHEEK SCHOOL #1, to be drilled at 27 5S 1W, a site several miles southwest of the city of Ardmore.
XTO Energy Inc. headquartered in Spring, Texas obtained two permits for separate wells in the County.
The HEWITT UNIT #23-5702, located at 23 4S 2W or about 4 miles west of Lone Grove was one of the permits.
The second permit was for HEWITT UNIT #15-0903, located two miles north of Wilson at 15 4S 2W, not far from the first Hewitt Unit well.
