Oshkosh AirVenture an Adventure for Ada Aviators

Representatives from Ada’s flying community had an opportunity to meet with state and national aviation leaders at the 2021 EAA AirVenture event held last week in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, according to a report published in The Ada News.

Dr. Tre Landrum, a local physician, Chris Eckler, Ada High School aviation instructor, and Tanner Gilliam, an Ada High School graduate and current Southeastern University aviation student, spent the week attending workshops, visiting with industry representatives and meeting with aviation dignitaries.

The team attended the Oklahoma Luncheon where they visited with United States Senator, Jim Inhofe, and Oklahoma’s State Director of Aeronautics, Grayson Ardies.

Representatives from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the Oklahoma Department of Tourism along with the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission hosted a booth touting aerospace as Oklahoma’s second largest economic driver.

Ada continues to support the growth of aerospace and aviation, both through the continued growth of Ada High School’s recognized aviation program as well as the advancement of the Ada Regional Airport and local aerospace industries.
