Governor creates New Mexico’s own “30 X 30” conservation plan

New Mexico sets '30x30' conservation goal - Albuquerque Journal

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham extended her state’s conservation efforts this week by signing an executive order to conserve 30% of all lands in the state by 2030.

The order, similar to the Biden administration’s “30 by 30” conservation plan will also expand New Mexico’s outdoor access and preserve natural resources.

““I believe that New Mexico is going to lead the country in 30 by 30 conservation efforts that really make a difference for generations to come,” Lujan Grisham said before signing the order on Wednesday.
