2.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Edmond on Thursday Evening

Edmond residents felt a slight rumble on Thursday as a 2.1 magnitude earthquake struck the suburb.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the event at 9.44 p.m. and showed the epicenter was about 7 miles east-northeast of the town of Edmond near I-35 and Covell Road.

The depth was 3.6 km or approximately 2 miles.

There were no reports of damage.
