Ovintiv finds more success in STACK

Ovintiv faces test of staying power

 

Oklahoma’s STACK continues yielding big producers for Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. as the company recent completed two wells from a single pad with production of nearly 2,000 barrels a day.

The largest of the Post Brothers 1607 wells in Kingfisher County had production of 1,073 barrels of oil a day along with 5,116 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 17,565 feet in the Mississippian.

The wells are located at 34 16N 7W a site at the south side of the city of Kingfisher and east of highway US 81. The large producer had a December 2020 spud date and drilling was finished in February 2021 with completion April 28, 2021.

The smaller well had production of 848 barrels of oil a day and 4,439 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 17,410 feet. It had an earlier spud date in December 2020 with drilling finished in January and completion on the same date as the first well.

Cimarex Energy Co. filed a completion report on a Canadian County well which had production of 372 barrels of oil a day and 3,736 Mcf of natural gas. The Kevin Com 1-29h is located 7 miles due west of Union City at 29 11N 8W.

The well had a March 2020 spud date and completion was made in November 2020.

Comanche Exploration Co LLC filed a completion report on a Major County well which finished with production of 253 barrels of oil a day and 982 Mcf of natural gas. The Kelly 29-32-1h, situated at 29 20N 14W is midway between Seiling and Fairview and was completed March 11, 2021.

The well had an April 2019 spud date with drilling finished in May of that year but completion was withheld until this year.
