After rebounding from last Monday’s drop, U.S. crude oil prices took a dip downward on Monday while European prices went up.
West Texas Intermediate crude for September delivery took a 16-cent fall to $71.91 a barrel.
Global benchmark Brent crude for September delivery rose 40 cents to settle at $74.50 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
